After waking up so early in the morning on my off-day to attend branch meeting, I went to BBDC to get my provisional driving license... Wohoo~! Finally, after so long, I'm finally done with my theory test and now holding a PDL to start my driving experience next thursday.

So excited.^__^!

OMG, Nakano san is so smart in picking up such details. He actually found out that 2 of the starck model's barcode kena swapped.

I sold a pair of Starck frame that is supposedly $1100+ at $680+... Almost $500 difference.

And what's worse is this sales belongs to months ago. >.< I need to pay the price difference.

But who the heck would go and read the barcode details on the price tag? Out of 1o staff. I bet 9.9 Staff would just take out the price tag and write the barcode on the customer chart without checking the actual frame model tally with the barcode or not lol.

For that moment I'm so pek cek. I am cursing which knn bastard swopped the price tag. Looking at these seems like not really my fault. Nakano is kind enough to suggest I pay cost price de difference lol. But even if it's cost price, but because it is Starck, it's still a high price to pay.

Lesson to be learnt: Check barcode details first. Be extra careful, especially when you sell expensive frames.

My Blog got Deserted,,,

I can't sleep. So I went back to my blog to read my past memories.

I have not been blogging for god damn long. Many things happened to me while I'm not blogging.

Feelings of happiness, sadness, angry-ness are building up in me. Maybe I should come back to blog again to share what's building up within me.

After so many months, think no one ever reads my blog again. Today is just an ordinary off day. I stayed at home, pack my cupboard, collect my optom license (which I was angry about 2 weeks ago coz I failed full registration), go to singtel and found out my plan is not due for renewal yet and then head to ntuc with my parents and then homed.

Had a really really satisfying nap. Haven't been sleeping well these days due to many things that are bugging my mind.

I just passed my freaking final theory test after so long. Coz I always haven't got the time to book test date. Now I am going to apply for my PDL and start my driving class.

Tomorrow dar dar will be booking out. And hooray~! This sat and sun is my ex off and inc off... We can spend time together for a longer time after so long. We've not been seeing each other much since I come back from Taiwan Trip. Hope we'll have a nice weekend together :)

KNN the first reaction was sad, followed by a big ball of fire stuck at my throat that i want to spit out of my mouth.

It's not cheap... approx 240+ havent include shopping and other expenses.... yet i have to sacrifice my extra and inc off to meet kb for the month. And I am in september batch.... september is my birthday and i got to burn off and not able to celebrate my birthday. I have to waste money, waste off, waste time and not get what i want. Of coz i am angry and i wanna vent it all out.

See my face tomorrow. Sure gonna be black. Somemore i can't back out and even if i complain, it's of no use. Cannot change. KNN. Trust me, my end of month report for july gonna be longer than Long John Silver....

New perfume~!

Today is my off-day and I went for facial at about 2.30pm and then to bugis to hunt for plain black watch for dar dar NS use.

Long time never eat the curry noodle recommended by Huiqi @ QQ noodle house le... so i went for that today together with a cup of ice milk tea. Oishii desu ne~!

I shopped around bugis. Long time never go shopping already. I've been so lazy when it comes to my off-day and I just want to stay at home.

I'm now on a handbag hunt because my handbag strap is not in a good condition but nothing matches what I want. Now that I am earning more, of course I grow more materialistic and I no longer want to use cheapo perfume. I intend to quickly use up the adidas one and get a proper perfume.

It's GSS and this salesperson @ BHG recommended a few perfumes and i thought this perfume is quite a good deal and she really never lie to me. I went to search online, it really costs about 45 to 50 dollars sing dollar after conversion of currency from euro dollars. Now it's @ $29. This perfume caught my attention because of the bottle. It's got a nice heart shape. Not only the container looks nice. The smell also not bad leh~! Wah just buy... I think I will go down to buy another bottle before the sales end (before 4th july).

Laalaa... so happy shopping today~! The perfume made my day~!

I was reading Jeff's blog post and I think I am one of the more fortunate people who managed to enjoy a nicer working environment with nice people, moderately good pay and I love my working schedule.

I once thought of become a teacher after graduation, because yes I like the part on diagnosing eye pathology and it made me feel like a "mini doctor". However, it also means a higher liability and responsibility that we have to bear as an eye care professional. I wanted to be a teacher I guess because of my family members, but I thought;

It took me so hard and took me 3 years to study something so specialised and professional, it is really a waste not to stay in this line after 3 years of study. Being a teacher, it requires any generic certificate, being an optometrist, it's far more specialised and of course better pay than a teacher perhaps.

I told myself, I will stay in this line for minimum one year and clear my pre-reg year first. After that, I shall see how I am going to plan my future career and route. I guess many graduants are also trapped here at this point not knowing where to navigate....

Hope that I will stay in this line and this company for min. a year and even longer if possible... =D

Today we had our very last course in our diploma in optometry. We are officially now on holidays and hopefully all of us graduate~!

When we're in year 1, we all came in not knowing what exactly optometry is. Slowly, we appreciate optometry better and I've grown to like what I am doing. Year 2 was hectic with bulk of the knowledge placed in 2nd year of the course. Year 3 we see patients and rush FYP. It seems diploma is so distant in year 1 and 2 and even further nearing FYP submission, everyone can't wait to get over it and once FYP and competency test is over~! Woohoo... you mean... we graduate already? So fast? Yeah, it's that fast, just a glimpse.....

I am flying to HK today... in fact... as it is pass 12 midnight now... when I am back in singapore. OMG i am left with less than a month to start work. I wonder how my working life as an optometrist is... I hope all goes well... =D

Shopping @ Chinatown for souveniors for the Japanese (12/12/2009)

See, I'm so busy.... okay these pictures are from last month. Mer and I went chinatown to see what souviniors we can get for the Japanese when we are there in Japan for cultural exchange programme. At the same time, we compared prices for bak gua because we heard from previous participants for exchange programme that the Japanese love our chinese bak gua a lot. So like almost everyone in the group was buying bak gua lol. -.-"

We went to chinatown after school and we're so hungry so we went food hunting. We went to Chinatown Point and oh my.... garfield and friends were there~! Kawaii~!!!

We took a few snap shots of them and proceeded on to find cheap place to eat and we settled in chinatown market food centre for a bowl of ba chor mee....

I told Merlyn about this dessert shop whose mango dessert is really nice. And Mer loves it too... yum yum...

OMG I think I am not in the right mind today. Hence I blundered here and there for clinic today. Thanks Yi Jun. U made my day. If not for you, today would be a damn suay day.

My OGE in the morning turned out as Follow Up and my 2nd patient cancel his appointment. WTH how am I ever going to hit my quota this way? My number of follow up is more than my GE >.<

Thanks Yi Jun for giving me the patient, at least I have 1 GE today. If not today= no quota.

I just came back to my blog and saw that oops my last post was October. Time flies and passed really fast when you are so busy busy busy busy. I have no time for blogging. FYP, reports, MSTs, powerpoint presentations, assignments just come never ending.

Something to be glad and happy about is that at least I spent a week of my holidays in Japan~!!! That's a country I always wanted to go. I had a white Christmas there and I love it there. I guess it is because Singapore doesn't snow so we cherish winter so much. For the Japanese there, they would love Singapore because they hate winter so much. They want to enjoy all-year summer and wear lesser clothing compared to winter. I've got pictures but not free to upload coz blogger takes ages to upload photos. Facebook got my Japan pics. If you can't wait for me to upload, go see my facebook ba.

Yes~! Tmr only got Mr Seow's Practical. I can sleep till noon~!

Movie with DarDar

Yea~! I am finally back from India. Before I start my story regarding india in the blog, let me start this shorter post first.

Today is Children's day and so we should watch children show to feel like a children although we surpassed that age. Haha~! Lame excuse but I just like this reason. We catch the movie with the super duper uber long name called the "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs". Today is the first release.

I love the show, comical and depicts how we're like when we are a kid. Many a times we dream, we want to be a superstar, a teacher, a doctor, a nurse, a scientist, an astronomer and what so ever, but in reality we're crushed and discouraged along the way which made us give up on our dreams of becoming what we truly wanna be when we were young.

How many of our parents ever showed us concern and support whatever we do. Perhaps, because this is Asia, we do not show feelings so openly like Caucasians do . Our parents is just like the father in the story, deep down, they do care and love us all the time but they do not show it and neither could we detect it from their actions and expressions.

If you are hesitating whether to watch the show, hesitate no more, it's a nice show... i give a 7.5/10 marks.

Picnic @ West Coast Park

Blogger takes ages to upload photos... Therefore only selected photos are displayed here now. Met up with GMX and Paulnana @ Bukit Merah Interchange and we hop onto 176 which brings us to the west coast park.

It's good to always meet up with old friends and keep up the bond and linkage because you'll never know when you'll need them and you can always keep on updates how each other is doing. This friendship started since Sec 1 and I hope it will never end.

One lesson I learnt from the day's picnic is not to focus too much on food. Coz we brought a lot too much food. I remembered the floor mats but we forgotten entertainment. No cards, no kites, no vollyball, no frisbee. Literally no entertainment except to see others flying kites and kids playing with the sand.

I'm so amazed... GMX knows how to make a cake~! It amazed me becoz it tasted not bad... the appearance also look so professional like those you buy from bakeries outside.

PangPang is our entertainment for the day. I didn't bring out my ChongChong coz he's too dirty to show himself. I bathed him and now ChongChong is sitting in KB's house to reunion with his sister and father while I am going away to India Hyderabad.

I had lotsa fun that day, i turned darker as well under the hot sun. But worth it. Let's meet up soon for a game of badminton when I'm back from India~!

Birthday Lunch at Sketches, Bugis Junction

This is the 3rd Birthday Celebration. My sis gave my brother and I a treat as a birthday gift. She brought us to the Skteches Cafe Situated in Bugis Junction next to TCC. It's my first time there and the recommend that place because you can design your own pasta and pizza. It's a refreshing idea and experience there. Something a little different from other eateries.

See the Melted cheese when you break it open. When you bite, the cheese melts in your mouth and it's like you can pull it apart real far.... the cheese can "stretch" Haha i dunno how to describe...

You can order the size of the pasta you want. The round plate is hungry size and the oval plate is starving size and my brother ordered that -__-" so you can see he is really starving....

Portion is large, it really fills my stomach though it is hungry size and in fact i couldn't finish it.

Trip to the Zoo

Dar Dar wanted to go the Zoo very much because he hasn't been to the zoo since primary school. So dar dar decided to bring me to the zoo on my birthday, since I also haven't stepped into the zoo since sec school.

It's really torturing to wake up so early in the morning and travel so far to go to the zoo. On the journey to the zoo, I actually dozed off on the train and bus ride.

The zoo changed a lot, lesser animal in terms of quantity, like only 1 polar bear where last time I remembered there are 2 or 3. Are animals really going extinction? Blogger is taking ages to upload photos. So I decide to only upload a few nice photos at the zoo. More photos would be available at my facebook profile. =D

Today I went on a lunch with GMX and HH. We decided to try out pasta cafe @ Takashimaya. Amazingly, that's like an eatery opened by Pokka. I used to thought Polka is only into drinks and of course my favourite and famous green tea. This amazed me a little.

This is the Carbonara. $13.50 before 7% GST and 10% service charge. Not too bad la... the taste...

Laalaa... the final good point about Year 3 Optometry is finally here. We're all currently on holidays while the vast majority of the poly populations are mugging on their notes.

Well, of course this is not really a holiday for us.... We're suppose to rush and do up our literature review and FYP stuff. India trip preparations are all coming up... Gotta Chiong Chiong Chiong....

Oh yes~! I have reached my 2 RGP Fit, 14 GEs, 1 delivery quota. 1 aftercare appointment coming next week. I am still short of 4 dispensings and 1 more SCL fit. Any kind souls want to help me clear SCL fit or walk in fix a nosepad or get frames adjusted????

But it's not like a breeze.
It's some tornado.
It's threatening, its like a trap.
It swept us off ground and we're trapped inside.
You never know if you can graduate year 3
You dunno what kind of grades you get for clinic
You dunno what is ahead of you.
You can't escape.

It has devastating effect
It will made u repeat a year when were caught off guard
You see your friends slowly not being in the same year as you
Simply to say, you foward modules

I'm so stressed up recently
FYP, Projects, Assignment and coming Tests
India Trip coming up and no holidays
NPCC matters, family matters, friend matters

I thought I had enough matters
But love matters came
I wanted a listening ear
A shoulder to lie on
A person to hug and cry
A person to encourage me
And be on my side and not shoot me

I used to think I'm always right
With mindset all set right
But along the rocky path all the mindset seems wrong
I couldn't tell right from wrong

I remembered when I was a child,
I was taught righteous, responsibility and empathy
But along the way into adulthood,
Righteous and empathy turned into flaws.
When you are nice to others, others may not.
When you make use of them, then they'll be wary.
When you treat them too well, they take you for granted.
You suddenly treat them badly, they'll learn their lesson and treasure you.

Being responsible is not enough.
You need to be sensible.
Sensible enough to know what to do.
Know what is appropriate.
What is really important to you.

I guess I dunno what I have in life.
What is important?
Character? Job? Studies? Relationships? Family? Friends?
What have I achieved in this 19 years of my life?
Nothing came across my mind. Nothing big to boast about.

I have so much to say, but no one to hear.
I wanted to shout, but it would be loud.
I just want to lie on your shoulder and sob.
Tell you all my stories and share my worries.
But all you did was shut me up and told me I was wrong.
You sounded like my mindset is all wrong, thinking is wrong, everything is wrong.
When I voiced out, you said now everything sound like you're wrong.
So much wrongs, so much wronged, maybe from the start being together was a wrong.

Cosfest 2009 (12/7/09)

Went downtown east for cosfest yesterday. Quite disappointing. Much lesser things to buy. It is like almost the same variety of products each booth is selling. There also wasn't any increase in really nice cosplayers compared to the past. So I didn't take much photos this year lol.

Anyway, halfway, Orange was hungry and apple ate her lunch @ subway already. So haha we went E-hub to hunt for a nice place to fill up the stomach. We settled down for a meal @ BBQ Chicken becoz there's student meal. Not bad leh the place coz no ppl + okay food+ cheap. 1 Main dish + coleslaw+fries+ 1 free drink and refill 7.90 nett. But then hoh we went without the refill coz haha we miss out that "term and condition".... haha.... wasted lol....

Fun @ Ophthalmic Dispensing Practical

You know I'm always so scared of dispensing. I dunno why. I sucked at edging lenses.... The edging machine in school sometimes go "koo-koo" one.... I'm always so frightened that my lens couldn't edge out properly. I would always sit near the machine to keep track of the edging sound coming out to ensure that my lens is still chucked properly in the machine. Dispensing become more fun as I got more used to it... Check out my new outlook and appearance. Dunno who so bo liao go and draw eyes on the specs.... I found it interesting and put it on... Merlyn helped to take the photo to show comical effect. Haha she said I look like I'm wearing Freshkon Alluring eyes lol....

And i forgot who's funny idea to ask me to hold it that way so that my eyebrow form the upper eye-lash lol....If I didn't remember wrongly, we got caught taking photos and doing this stupid thing during dispensing prac and OMG so pai seh la.... Mr Seow caught us doing this funny act.....

Yippeee Mommy and Papa coming back tmr... I've been a good kid I suppose. I used to stay out rather late. I was initially happy that parents are away. Haha can havoc.... but then surprisingly I didn't I always the first one to be home...

Without them for the first 2 days was alright. But soon, it became rather scary. Alone in the house and so quiet... no sound at all... Bro and Sis only come back around 9 plus 10 plus. Without my parents around actually quite shiok leh...., we can switch on the air-con like no tomorrow... Wah wait till the bills come... wah think we die liao lol my dad sure nags one....

I think I'm like a little grown-up without parents by the side. I settle my meals on my own, I go to school on time and wake up in the morning without the screams by my mom every morning. I help to sweep the floor a little, do laundry etc. Does it mean I am rather independent where usually I wun need to do all these and can concentrate all my energy on studies....

In the past, all the hard labour work is all done by my dad last time like changing the bulbs. Coz he used to say we are short, we can't reach the ceiling and we are so accident-prone, later we drop the bulb and cut our hands or something. So this job was always left for my dad. Mom would settle all the housework. But you know what? AHHHH my room light fused lol... wah i yesterday whole night cannot do my work in my bedroom coz it is seriously too dark for me to change the florescent tube. I got to bring everything out to the living room to do lol.

I managed to change the light bulb today on my own~! I feel so accomplished... I didn't break anything and I can steady enough not to fall... Haha and I can tell my dad that I am short, but I can still change the light. Haha coz I tried to climb up the chair but I still couldn't reach the ceiling... Haha.... So I climbed onto the table and "I CAN REACH OKAY~!!!"

Maybe is not I short is the chair short lol... I need to step on the table where the alarm clock is and stretch a little bit to reach the lighting lol... haha exaggerating but true.... Then the table so messy with my sis's things then got to squeeze my feet at the edge and corner of the table... haha heng i nvr fall down sia....

Managed to dig it out from my house.... hehe this is the new one.... and I replaced it.....

Haha laalaa I enjoy my lighting now.... especially where it is put on there by me.... Heez.....

Today only got Mr Tham's class that starts @ 8.30am and ends like 9.30am. Went to school just for that hour as Miss Tan's class was cancelled.

Had breakfast with FangMei, ShiEn, Cindy, Papaya and Orange. Didn't felt like going home, so I took the train all the way to dhoby ghaut. Went to walk walk in Plaza Singapura then head home because I dun want to face silence alone at home.

Papa, Mama and 2nd Sis went overseas. Left me, my bro and my eldest sis. I always end class so early and always the first to reach home and it was dead silence at home. Kind of not used to the silence. It just dun feel right.

Woot I bought a pair or slippers from Bata. Coz actually I wanted to buy it when I saw it on offer on the newspaper. But selected stores only. The Bata and Tiong Bahru didn't sell it when go and see. Finally let me saw it on the shelf selling at $19 instead of $32.95. So called "checkered" de.... I'll make Orange jealous~!

Something amazing today.... Dinosaurs in Shopping Malls... First Time I see sio... The dinosaurs are quite huge and they do move and "ROARRRRRSSSS" (they really roar la) .... I took snapshots if it using my handphone coz it think it is interesting....

Dar Dar's Birthday

So long since I last blogged, very busy and really busy. Doing Final Year Project (FYP), rushing deadlines, doing up presentations, attending Japanese Classes, Performing Clinic duties seeing patients. It is so difficult to really sit down and and rest and slack the whole day. My mind just keep wondering what tasks is on hand and still left undone. The thought of the long list of assignments and tasks I have deterred me from playing laptop, wii-ing and shopping. Yet I couldn't find motivation to start working on the assignments on hand.

I went out to celebrate dar dar's birthday on 24/5/2009. I am very sad because it is his 21st birthday, he shouldn't be spending his birthday just like that. I am unable to give him a very grand one due to budget constraints. So, his 21st Birthday seemed like any other normal birthdays.

We wanted to eat sakae sushi buffet lunch, but haha oops I am so tired and I overslept, not in time to rush for the buffet. So, haha we went Astons @ The Cathay.

I wanted to buy him a cake, but he felt that it would incur a big burden to my wallet. So I didn't buy him a birthday cake as he insisted. But to make me feel better, we bought a cheese cake from Carrefour that is budget and taste good. Cost only $3.95 haha.... like really cheapo lol... so buy like 2 more packets of sushi and make it cost more to dun look so stingy la... then shared the cheese cake and the sushi with his family and then head home.

A very weird turnout to celebrate a birthday right? I think so lol....

What about present? I gave him a wallet. He don't want expensive ones... okay lol.... I found one that is cheap and good. Haha guess the price lol..... I shall not disclose.... I sound so budget like auntie but he insisted he dun want expensive lavish stuff ma.... so I went according to his wish LOL....

Had Japanese Class on Saturday and after that I shopped around bugis.... and OMG spend a lot on that day lol....

Bought 2 masks to ease my pimple problems recently.... Tried liao slightly better....but overall not bad... Just that kinda expensive lol...

I shopped around and saw this dress.... made me look like a princess but then cheap leh... 12 bucks nia orginally was $43. Bought a belt to match it, decided to wear it on dar dar's 21st B'day but my mama said I was fat I dun look nice in the dress. Wah felt so hurt.

So in total, I sped $5 on mask, $12 for the dress, $5 on belt = total bill of $22.

Wisdom Teeth Extraction

TodayI skipped class and went for Wisdom Tooth Extraction surgery. I was given general anaesthesia and was to removed 4 wisdom teeth at one go. When I woke up from the general anaesthesia, my lids were very heavy and had problem opening my eyes to stay awake, but I could feel sore kind of pain at my jaws. The pain was excruciating and I teared a little and asked for painkiller from the nurse.

The whole surgery plus waking up from anaesthesia and stopping the blood from oozing from the operation site lasted from 11am in the morning to about 5.30pm in the afternoon. Below are some pictures I took.

My wisdom teeth washed and laid on kitchen towel. Some of my flesh from the gum is still attached in the teeth... Yeww...

These 2 widsom teeth are from my upper jaw.

The top 2 wisdom teeth are from the top jaw. The bottom are halves of my lower jaw wisdom teeth. So it's 2 from top and 2 from bottom. The bottom ones are split into half during extraction.

This is a handout given by the pharmacist to tell me in details what drugs are given to me and their possible side effects and dosage.

Look at the amount of medicine given to me....
This is for swelling, because after surgery, there will be swelling of my cheeks and jaw area.
This is the gauze given to me in case the opreation site bleeds again.

This is a mouth-wash given to me for rinsing my mouth to keep oral hygiene proper.

This mouth wash is to be used after every meal.

This is the super duper strong pain killer that can ease my pain for 24 hours with just 1 tablet.

These 2 are my antibiotics....

I have problems talking and moving my jaws now and my face will reach it's peak within 72 hours.... the maximum swell is coming soon... OMG.... plus tmr clinic, i dunno how to talk to patient sia....

A day out with GMX and Paulina

Met GMX before going Jurong Point, she helped me to buy an almond milk tea when she's @ Tiong station.

We walked around Jurong Point for quite a while and chatted. We've decided to sit and rest our legs somewhere and we start to we chit-chatted our own life stories and current life we're having - Me attachment and her looking after her newborn niece while waiting for Paulina to join us. Haha we we actually got 'free lunch'~! Haha only we 3 knows the story.

We walked for a while and then stop by KFC so accompany Paulina to have her meal followed by travelling to Tiong MRT to head to our respective destination from there. Pau stays @ tiong and so she will go home from there and GMX heads to Bukit Merah Interchange with me and she later goes home and me, attend area meeting on coming ATC.

There's still some time left before I need to fly to attend meeting, so we took some pictures as momento for our rendezvous yesterday.

Long time since I last blogged yea... We're suppose to do data entry now but we finished it by 1 day so we are now using the time to finish up our assignment that we need to hand up this Friday.

But it's just so tiring to sit there and look at the screen the whole day cracking our brains to think of the answers to the questions of the assignment. We took a break to disturb Shirlyn's Usasa pencil case... below are some hilarious photos...

A day out with Dar Dar

Yippy~! Yawnz.... So tired after my trip back from Batam and I went into a long long sleep on Saturday when I return to Singapore.

Sunday, I went to Dar Dar house to pick up my bear bear then go out with Dar Dar, coz yea missed him quite a lot in the 7 days. More like it is him who misses me more because in these 7 days in Batam, it is just so enjoyable and busy, no time to think of him :X I left my pooh bear at his house to prevent my brother from abusing my adorable pooh bear when I was away to Batam for a week.

Yes~! Ownership is back to me again~!

He just do not want to take a photo with me, he reminds me of the adik in Batam. Tropia case lol.... Haha....

My sis passed me a 50% off voucher of Ramen Ten so we decided to go and give it a try. Quite expensive coz all the prices on the menu is before 7% GST and 10% service charge. If it wasn't because of the voucher, we wouldn't gone there to eat ba....

I love Ramen a lot, especially soup Ramen because I love to drink soup. Dar Dar ordered Tom Yam Ramen and I ordered Oyaku Chicken Ramen. Overall, the food is moderately nice and I love the ambience there. Maybe because there is not a lot of people there, it's rather quiet and relaxing there. =D

Attachment Week 1

First week of attachment is coming almost to an end. Tomorrow we're going for vaccinations at Tan Tock Seng Hospital 8am in the morning. Followed by Auto-Refraction and Ophthalmoscopy practice in the morning after we go back to SP after vaccination and after lunch time, we'll be having visual screening trial run like how we're going to screen the kids in Batam.

This whole week had been enjoyable, rather slack because we've done quite a fair bit before ITP starts and now we're like left with very little things to finish up and get done with. So, this whole week, we've been having early lunches and long long long breaks that we are like rotting sooner later.

The Jakarta OITP people are very stressful now, they're having clinic orientation already and they have to perform General Examination (GE) like 5 patients in 4 hours. It just sounds so stressful. I'm sure that's how we'd be like when all the Batam OITP participants step into clinic orietation next week.

That's all for now. My ITP had been quite a pleasure for now. I'm quite loving it.

JLPT 4 Results

I received my JLPT 4 results slip by post on friday and when I opened it up, disappointment was what I got. 238/400. To get JLPT 4 cert, we need to get 60% of the total score which in this case was 240/400.

WTH I am short of 2 marks~! Gonna re-take~! Now I'm like shd I continue Level 4 or follow the rest to take a Level 3. If I take a level 3 this year I need to work like super duper hard because my level 4 barely can make it. But if I worked hard, I can just skip 4 and do level 3. What a dilema.

Maybe I should be less ambitious and stick to level 4. Because I know I'm busy and I may not be able to spend so much time working hard on Japanese.

I am so pek cek. It's 2 marks. One more question would made me pass. =(

Papers Ended~!

Screw the bloody paper today. Anyway, my long awaited moment arrived~ Phew... the exams are finally over and I shall keep my fingers crossed that nothing bad would happen on me.... I want to do my FYP this year one....

I'm gonna play and havoc these few days before attachment starts but seems like I can't afford to do so with my packed schedule as always. I'm gonna extract my wisdom teeth tomorrow plus I got to rush down for spectacles recycling.

If we cannot finish by tomorrow, we would have another round on Thursday=( .

Friday is AC-CI meeting, though I can don't go, but it's like my only free day to slack a bit and quickly stock up some formal wear for clinic. Saturday I got Jap Class. Sunday I got rendezvous with GMX and frenz. Monday is ITP~!!!!!

OMG, this shows that I literally have no rest at all with events one after another.... swee la~ Really no holidays lol.....

But, on the side note, I am happy I am posted to SPOC @ SP and not west coast. I am happy that I will be pairing up with Janice for Clinic. I am Happy that SPOC hours are shorter than optical shops. =D

FYP Balloting

Final Year Project balloting today @ 9am. We are to form groups of 4 members and we have a total of 24 projects for 24 teams of four per group.

After the balloting, it was Binocular Vision test. Woohoo~! I cleared the last test today... and now all I have to bother about is exams. =D I have 3 examinable modules this semester but all are so "contented" as in loads of information and contents to memorise.

Slacked a little after school today to pamper myself a little before I start to work hard for examinations. Chatted on the phone about what FYP topic to choose and I am happy with my group. I am contented. Seriously. Happy too. I dunno what to say. Because I know I won't be chionging alone.... my group is gonna chiong chiong chiong~!

Finally had time to blog after so long.... haha... oh yea by wed, we've got to hand up our balloting form for the FYP. Then may god bless me and my members not to repeat anything or else our team wouldn't be a full team anymore... it's so scary... and so sad... so stressful when you see slowly your classmates aren't with you the next academic year or semester. So scary to see the whole course and class slowly shrinking in size. Your jaw will drop and you'll gasp. That's my thought for the moment when we were told during the balloting that those who didn't progress to 3rd year would not do FYP next year with the rest and will join the next batch.

It's just so scary to be unable to partner with people whom you can work with, whom you're so buddy-buddy with and ended up joining the next batch of fresh faces you don't know at all or don't even know if they can work with you even. It makes me so jittery and scared now with exams nearing. I don't want to foward any modules seriously. Looking at my GPA its sucky enough despite my hardwork. Haiz....

I need some unwinding. Valentine's Day is gonna be an ordinary day.... Mugging for exams....

Traumatic Day

OMG... I'm so overwhelmed with nervousness today. Not only myself, but the rest of the class are whining and complaining about today. We're squeezed dry, real dry today. Our brain juice are depleted by the end of the day having 3 tests in a row continously without a break. 8 to 10am we have 2 ocular pathology test.... a slide test and a written test and from 10am to about 1pm, we have clinical optometry II practical test. Whatever I've memorised didn't come out on the spot due to nervousness.

Guess what? At Anna Yeo's component... I blundered super badly. When demonstrating my confrontation this is what happened....

CP: Look at my nose

After a few seconds....

CP: Wait~ Can you take off your glasses. Okay, look at my nose again, can you see my nose? Is any part of my face missing or blur?

Again after a few seconds....

CP: Wait~ can you please cover one of your eye?

-__-" I'm dead~!

Next story continues when she asks me about what is the normal value of FACT... I forgot is based on the graph and I pondered and stuck there for half a minute and said... " I forgot"

Next she ask me some Colour Vision test and when she ask me for the normal values of City Uni test I stuck again. WTH, I anyhow bombed.... I said inability to read plates 7 to 10 fails the passing criteria. Till now I still dunno the answer. OMG....

She asked me why is FACT better than Pelli-Robson... My only answer was because FACT only need to tell orientation of the lines and pello robson is alphabets, those who dunno ABC can do FACT. Sounds make a little sense but it was a stupid answer out of my brain at that kan chiong point of time.

Ting Ting the bell sounded and off I left the room with worries, dissappointment and some sort of relief that it's finally over and headed to FoodCourt 2 and started discussing about our practical test with the rest of the classmates while we had lunch together.

It was a traumatising day for everyone and a super tired one because we're all burning midnight oil studying hard for it and there we are gonna score really really bad for today's tests be it pathology or clinical optometry.

We're all so drained with tests everyday continuosly without any study week right till exams.... Sometimes I am bewildered and amazed by our strength and perseverence to carry on the ordeals and tough times like this. I think by the end of 3 years in optometry, our head would have increased in circumference and size by a few inches from the baseline.

Binocular Vision Practical....

Yes~! Today is the last practical for this module- Binocular Vision. Upcoming exams, reports to submit, GEMs and PBL assignments, upcoming practical exams and tests are crushing me each day. I think I am crushed until I've grown shorter and become rounder now. I looked at myself in the mirror and see how round like an apple I am. Anyway, apple was a nickname from Merlyn. Haha so yea... it sounds like there's no wrong being called apple... fat round juicy apple.

Had been so stressed up with meeting deadlines of these academic stuff, planning my time to ensure I can finish up all the tasks up on sleeve. I am suffocating and sometimes can't breathe really. I am really having fun today during practicals today. Relaxed a bit for today. That's why I am slacking right here blogging. After the practical, our eyes muscles are like strained lol and all started to be giddy and eyes so tired that we're going to fall asleep. Vision therapy is not easy as it seems. Patience is much needed.

The 2 circles chart above is called the 'Life Saver Card' and the one with 4 red circles and 4 green circles is called the 'Free Space Fusion Card'. We are suppose to merge the red and green circles into 1 circle by looking towards our nose to converge our eyes. Free Space Fusion Card is harder as u can see the distance between the red and green circles increases... there are 4 levels to it. =)

Tomorrow is the 6th year anniversary we're together... but on this actual day, I got GEMs and Spectacles Recycling after that. So my activities for the day ends @ 5pm. Rather sad huh? Wonder what it will be like tomorrow... let's wait and see... :D

Recommended by my classmates. I went to try with my khakis this place called Astons. They tried it before and said it was a MUST-TRY. So we went on a rendezvous to go to The Cathay just behind Plaza Singapura where the shop named Astons was located.

Our total bill is $26 for 3 pax including drinks. Quite a good deal for the food serving was just right and can keep me full+ rather cozy ambiance and is tasty!

My Dream White Coat....

Yea, today we finally collected our white coat that most of us awaited. A coat that we dreamt to have and also part of the reason why we chose this course for some of us. It is this white coat that attracted us. It makes us feel like a mini doctor in that snow white coat.

We got so excited and started putting on the coat for contact lens fit practical. Haha.... we didn't want to waste time putting it on and only put it on after the prac.... see what good students we are....

After Konda's Lecture on Contact Lens fitting, Reena, Huiqi, Shirl, Merl and I made out way to the library with different purposes.... Reena and Huiqi wanted to print tutorial answers for binocular vision. Whereas Shirl and I are like aunties... wanting a branded paper bag from NewUrbanMale haha... but the goody bags were long finished... so Reena and Huiqi stayed in the library and Shirl, Merl and I made our way home. As we walked along until we reached the control station of Dover MRT, Merlyn said she would be accompanying me taking the same MRT line for she is going Far East to buy sandals and shoes because all her shoes seems to be all wearing away or spoiled. Haha, since I have train concession and plus today I had nothing to do, I thought I may as well accompany her plus window shop for some new year clothings or shoes too.

We walked and hunt the whole Far East Plaza for the kind of sandals Merlyn used to like and wear because she simply cannot wear any kind of sandals as most sandals and slippers would result in discomfort for her.

On our hunting mission for the sandals, we ended up buying a mario purse for it was Windi's birthday and we thought mario purse suits Windi's mario style haha.... so we bought it as his belated present.

It was really hilarious to go out with Merlyn for she always have things for me to laugh at and I'd always get a lot of entertaiment from her. Finally after walking so long, we went back to buy a pair of sneakers that was on 20% discount. The cheapest that we could find though it was not really in a tip-top condition with some thread fraying out, but it was the only pair left that was Merlyn's size.

Later we tried to continue to hunt for the kind of sandals Merlyn prefers but to no avail and our day ended with trying of Hokkaido Ice Cream's Hot balls with Mango and Milk Topping. Merl and I had never tried it before. I was initially reluctant and from the display, the hot balls are really minute and 4 pcs acutally costs $2.80. But Merlyn wanted to give it a try and claimed that once it is put into the microwave oven to heat it up, it will expand and grow in size because in the poster, the hot balls looks much bigger in size. It was hilarious coz we bet on it... I didn't believe the hot balls will grow big. And I am right~! Haha.... It's just that on the poster, it was enlarged or zoomed in till the hot balls look so much bigger than actual. It was our first time trying it and though the price was kind of steep but the topping was really delicious, sweet and thick. Yummy Yummy and then we went on our way home as it was getting late.

After ocular pathology class was lunch break and Merlyn, Shirlyn and I went on to foodcourt 3 to eat tom yam noodles.... we love the tom yam noodles in foodcourt 3.... oishii desu yo~!

Shirlyn is going out to treat her family lunch. So yea only Merlyn and I ate together with Evangeline who later came to tagged along. We met Matthew and the gang haha and they've decided to pop out at the open house at convention centre to get free candy floss and kill time. Evangeline went to meet her friend after lunch.

Merlyn wanted to return a book to the library, so we made a trip to library. We're sort of lazy and so we stayed in the library hunting for books. I borrowed a book titled "Geisha". It's been a long time since I last read a story book. The libarian told Merlyn that that day was the last day of the 'Promotion offer' haha, we can borrow up to 10 DVDs... or else after the 'promotion' we can only borrow up to a max of 2 DVDs only. Funny Merlyn really went to start a collection of 10 DVDs to borrow home despite our big fat bag with loads of stuff on friday class. Oh yea, plus she borrow 2 books... If it's me, I would borrow slowly seriously... than to end up carrying so much extra weight home and feel so lazy to bring back to school to return to the library.

I feel that the Librarian was really nice to give Merlyn such a nice paper bag to put her tons of borrowed items.... especially the 10 DVDs....haha~

The whole process of playing with this book to take these pictures was hilarious and we were giggling like mad in the library. I bet those group of people sitting next to us were very curious and entertained by us. They're from DBFM -Diploma in Banking and Finance Management I think.... haha weird thing is they asked Mer and I if we were from DBFM as well and asked us abt an assignment given to all DBFM students. Haha... we're like... huh?? Do we look like from DBFM... I mean usually... you will sort of recognise your own course mates especially from your own year right? Coz we'll like have lectures and tutorials with other classes ah.... Yea... so we replied.. we're from optometry.... haha...

After all da fun in the library, we went for contact lens complication lecture. There we shared our jokes with shirlyn, reena, hui qi and windi who were not at the library that time... Mr Konda ended class early at 4.30pm approximately. Yea after that I made my way to unit to help out a little and then go home because yea, my parents are bringing me out to shop....

Next day I had Japanese class, so I didn't went down to unit to even take a glance. I know I hasn't been contributing and serving the unit well. I can't help but guilty but my schedule is really too packed.... haiz....

Alrights... shall stop here.... Time to do all my tasks and homework on hand now....

Be A Pro

Okay, fine~ I read Merlyn's Tag like now... at Biostatistics class. We're all distracted... not listening to class yet expects ourselves to clear and pass this module.

Merlyn is just next to me and instead of talking to each other, we started to tag on each other's blog.... -.-" Now you know how bored we were in class....

We had an assignment given long ago... but yet not long ago.... in Nov I guess.... The asignment is called 'Be A Pro'. We're suppose to screen 20 people's eyes and become a pro in our field. Despite of our busy schedule, we need to find time to book slots and room for checking people's eyes. We need 20 subjects. Finish 20 subjects... full eye check... by 30th Jan (the new extended deadline). I've only done 5 subjects... How am I suppose to finish 15 (after discount from lecturer)? I need another 10 subjects... People~ tell me if you're free.... I really need patient and subjects~!

What I'd be doing in the eye check:
- NPC (near point convergence) [See how much your eyes can converge)
- Pupillary Response (Is pupil reactive to light)
- Slit Lamp Examination (Check different layers and structures of the eye for abnormalities)
- Ophthalmoscopy (Checking for retinal abnormalities)
- Subjective Refraction (Power or prescription of the eye refractive error)

Anyone interested to get checked by me???

Japanese Class

Today's Japanese class starts at 10am. Our strength of the class became smaller without Aye and Windi.

We got a Japanese with us, a friend of Sensei I suppose. I forgot her full name. We call her Nami Sensei. She is a Japanese and is now working in Singapore. She is here to share with us some of the cultures and practices in Japan.

We started the class with song translation. The song for the day is called 「情熱の代償」 (jyou netsu no daishou). As usual of course we sang it in class and we made use of the dictionary we bought to check out the meaning and eventually translate the song lyrics into english. =D

The PV (promotion video) is below. In Japan, they dun call this MTV but PV. Yeap. Something new I've learnt.

After the song translation exercise, the other half of the song not done in class is our homework and we got to go home and translate the whole song as homework. Next, we sat in a circle to go through some cultural practices in Japan and Nami sensei elaborated on the New Year in Japan. We talked about food, decorations and practices during New Year in Japan.

Class ended at 2pm. After that I went home and conscientiously do my song translation and fell into a deep afternoon nap. =D

Batam Attachment

Yea~! I am selected and got into the Batam Overseas Industrial Training Programme (OITP). I am really happy that there were many others from my class who were also selected. The total number of participants for this Batam OITP is 24. My class has like a total of 9 participants which is almost one third the total strength of the participants. Together with me, people from my class who got selected are Shirlyn, Merlyn, Janice, Kellyn, Jia Sheng, Jordon, Kelvin, Evangeline and myself.

Today I went for the briefing and we started with some self-introduction to each other to break the ice and followed by picking and normination of people for the different roles and responsibilities. There are some changes to the dates that we'll be going to batam for OITP. The tentative dates and breakdown of the whole ITP is as follows:

2 March - 21st March: Training and Preparation for OITP
22nd March - 31st March: Batam OITP
1st April - 17th April: 2 weeks SPOC Orientation

So far we only need to roughly pay $50 for the whole trip which to me was really cheap. It was really subsidised so much considering that all meals and accommodation are included. But, of course, the place that we would be staying is not those 5-6 star resort or hotels. But relatively average accomodation that has all the basic necessity is expected.

Yea, I shall stop here for the day.... it is past 12am and it is christmas eve now. Man, I think I am celebrating my christmas eve and christmas at home this year. I have no programmes.

Woke up late for extra practical session. I woke up @ 9.30am when I booked 10am slot. Hurriedly gave kb a call to wake him up. His brother picked up the phone and tried to wake him up. But his brother came back on the phone line to say "kb said he wanted to sleep more. What is it about?"

"Erm... nothing much actually... I'm suppose to screen and check his eyes today in school. Never mind, let him sleep then, I shall find someone else to replace then." was my reply.

Minutes later, kb called me on my hp... somehow I think his brother did wonders.... he managed to wake this sleepy log up. Okay, so I waited for him to go SP together.... on the way walking to T114, I received a call from windi saying that they were cementing the floors of the corridors of T114 area so we cannot go in. -__-" so yea we went to the paeds room. (Peeps from DOPT, if u see this, haha go and chiong paeds room, T1 there cannot be used these few days I suppose)

Yea~! Done with kb's eyes and jia hua's keratometer and subjective refraction. After that, too tired, didn't want to continue "be a pro" so went to the library to check movie show times.... Dar dar and I want to catch the move - Bolt. We promised each other that after MST, we must pamper ourselves sakae buffet and movies. WE DID IT TODAY~!!!

Buffet that really keeps us full till even now at this hour and then the movie- Bolt. I LOVE BOLT. He is just so cute. It is a must watch okay... though it seems like some kiddy cartoon. But this is a show that any kid, teens, parents or even adults would like...

While watching it, I teared, because I used to felt the way he felt. The feeling of having to face the reality and real world. No longer in our comfort zone and so confident, thinking and believing we have super powers to overcome anything and everything. Just became so dead tired that slowly I just want to give up and sit there to wait for things to happen.

Okay, I shall stop here, the rest, let u all to go and watch and apply to ur own life and personal problems and whatever we faced or experience.

It came to a surprise to all of us I bet, sensei treated us lunch on Saturday- JLPT exam eve. We've finally decided and head over to plaza singapura to have lunch @ The Manhattan Fish Market.

I have never eaten nor step in there before, I dun eat so expensive food outside. Hehe i just received the photos from sensei via email. Haha the photos are all so miserably blur taken with sensei's handphone.... Sensei purposely took these photos and send to windi to make him jealous.. OMG that's such a mean thing to do to spite him up.

After lunch, we went to separate ways and left for home.

This is like a mini pampering session before JLPT exam. =)

Oh yea, I am back blogging.... I have ended my battle of MST and JLPT Paper. Holidays are finally here to greet me, though it is just 3 weeks of holiday and I wanted more.

Ok finally, photos of our favourite curry chicken noodle in bugis.... Trust me, it is nice.... the thick curry gravy..... yummy yum yum.... We went there on one of the 4 hour breaks we have couldn't remember the date... but somewhat before MST.

MST mugging days

These few days I had been mugging really intensely as MST week drew near. Dar dar and I went out to study at mac whenever we were free though we are studying totally different modules. Studying at mac is a real bad choice we had been munching on fries and burgers and cups of coke. We didn't go exercise to burn these fats away, instead, we sat there and exercise our brains only....

Didn't had good sleep, good meals, good fun, good jokes, good times for a long long long time. Totally immersed into all my lecture notes and tutorial. My only motivation is that this semester is the last semester that I will be having semestral exams... YES~! No exams in 3rd Year~! I just can't wait to move on and escape from examinations. It is too taxing.

I know I would not do well for MST once again and so I went to find out the weightage for every single module for this MST paper. Instead of making me motivated to study. It went the other way. It made me want to forgo this MST. I have to mug so much just for 10-15% of the modules. Only Biostatistics that is ICA has like 40% of the module weightage.

Well, these few days I did perked up a little because I know have a companion to join me wherever I am. Haha... Dar dar gave me a pooh bear~! We gave a name and only we know the story behind the name... Haha... That's our secret what this pooh bear is called. Okay maybe some ppl may know its name. =)

The story of me getting this bear was a surprise for me. As BM mac is so close to my house, I always walk from my house to meet him there to study. That day dar dar reached BM earlier than I was and so he called me to ask me where I am already. I was near the TOUCH community. He walked to find me halfway through the route I always walk to BM. I thought, it was rather normal to do so since he reached BM earlier than I and he has nothing better to do. Because if I were him, I would also walk to find him so that we can walk to Mac together. Halfway, he told me his bag was very heavy. I thought maybe he brought his laptop and that' why his bad was so heavy.

But he told me to open his bag to take out some things so that it will lighten his load. Ah~! When I opened his bag, it is a pooh bear~! Haha.... it is a stressful period but this really surprises me and brought joy to me.

Weiwei's Graduation Performance

My cute little niece is so funny. She called me, my sis and other cousins on friday to ask if we are able to attend her graduation ceremony performance which was yesterday. She defintely has the greatest number of fans and I simply really do not know how my cousin got so much tickets. There were a total 14 people (4th aunt, Weiwei's parents, Qiqi and Bryan, Tengteng and Andy, Ah kun and his wife and his kids- Nicole and Bryan and finally my 2 sisters and I). Haha it looks as though Wei Wei is some lead actress in the performance since the tickets were in the first 2 rows somemore~

The whole performance was a total of 2 hours long performed by 3 childcare centres altogether and they are acting the 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. Weiwei's childcare centre was one of the 3. We didn't know what Zhi Ren is going to act as in the show beforehand because he said he want to give a surprise to his parents. Haha owww so cute and act secretive. In the end, he turn out to be a calafare and acted as the Wonka candy haha~!

Next up on the stage was Weiwei who acted as the pilot and hot cross bun seller. She is very good in attracting limelight, the moment, she was on the stage and saw the whole big group of us she waved and posed for us to take snapshots of her using our camera or handphone.

The whole performance was really remarkable not only was it enjoyable, but they literally had the whole movie acted out in the 2 hours of performance and a lot has to go to the childcare teachers for making such nice props and liasing with the other childcare centres to make this performance such a sucessful one.

After the performance, Tengteng surprised Weiwei with a piglet plushie and Weiwei likes it alot and she couldn't wait to open the piglet's wrapping in the car. She used the ribbon and the purple net-looking wrapper that was used to tie up the present to tie a ribbon, scarf and belt for piglet. She wants to dress the piglet up beautifully.

Later, we went out for dinner together and we joked, we laughed, we giggled and enjoyed ourselves over dinner. Many stories about Zhi Ren and Weiwei from their parents. It's hilarious to listen to stories of small kids. They are just so innocent and simple minded.

After dinner, we went on separate ways to go home. We took a bus from Hougang interchange and the bus ride is like a rocking baby cot and put us into nice good sleep on the bus ride. Homed and there we really plonk ourselves onto the bed and fall into a deep sleep after a tiring day.

Coffee Club with huiqi on 6th Nov 2008

There was no clinical optometry II practical on Thursday which gave rise to a 5 hours break from 11am to 3pm. I wanted to go back home to sleep initially as it was a rainy day and was a nice cooling day to sleep at home. But huiqi's house is just so far and she didn't want to go home. So, I stayed with her for the 5 hours break.

We've decided to go out of school since we have such a long break and decided to go the Coffee Club @IMM for lunch. Huiqi recommended to go there because they serve really nice pasta. I had never tried it before, we I've decided to give it a try.

Yea, the long awaited Pasta arrived.

Can you see the top layer is solid and when u dig deeper, the cheese is liquid? It's like cheese gravy you know? Hmm heavenly....

The pasta is seashell shaped and with melted cheese "gravy" on it...

I'll grade this pasta 4 stars out of 5. It is $12.70 inclusive of 7% GST and 10% service charge if I never remember wrongly, but defintely below $13.00

If you are a cheese lover, you'll defintely love this pasta!

My first time having lesson ending @ 7pm

Due to Deepavali, today we have our make up practical for Contact Lens Fitting from 3pm to 7pm. Oh my goodness, I mis-diagnosed Merlyn's eyes totally.

Mr Konda helped to supervise my recordings. Lid eversion was alright. However, when it comes to preliminary examinations, here comes all the inaccuracy. Mr Konda detected cellular infiltrates. I didn't know what was that. So I put her cornea as 'clear' in the recording. Mr Konda told me that I should not miss it. :( I asked further what was that, I bet no one in the class know what is cellular infiltrates. All we know was corneal infiltrates and that's all. We were never taught what is cellular infiltrates.

Mr Konda explained that cellular infiltrates is due to inflammation. So, Merlyn's cornea was actually inflamed and it was asymptomatic. Mr Konda asked Merlyn if she has any problems with her contact lens and she said "yea, my eyes were red yesterday due to lens wear". In my heart, I thought: what the hell, I forgot about it, I saw her eyes red yesterday and even suggested her to go to SPOC or T1 lab to at least borrow saline to flush her lens maybe it will be better. And, when I asked about any previous contact lens problem, she only told me her eyes feels dry towards the end of the day with lens wear. WTH, she nvr remind or tell me about her eyes red due to lens wear the day before.

Mr Konda suggested Merlyn to cease lens wear for at least 3-4 days or even a week. To me, it is a serious ocular complication due to lens wear, IT's INFLAMMATION YOU KNOW???!!! and I missed it. Imagine, if it is a real walk in patient and the patient's cornea go damaged or beyond healing due to my mis-diagnosis. I felt guilty today for not detecting such a serious yet common complication due to lens wear.

I was rather sad the whole day thinking about my mis-interpretation and diagnosis of Merlyn's eyes. Yet when we had dinner @ FC 2 after that, when I told her about the stopping of lens wear as per Mr Konda recommended, she can tell me the most she dun wear tmr, since tmr is practical day. But she sure will wear on Friday one, because she cannot stand her spectacles.

At that moment, I didn't voice out, but deep down I was thinking, she is an optometry student and the more she should be more concerned about her own eyes that any other people and set the right example for her future customers or patients to follow. But instead she followed a famous hokkien saying : "ai swee mai mia (爱美不要命）" and decided to go for looks rather than to allow her cornea to heal and recover from the inflammation.

Though some ocular conditions may be asymptomatic, but if it aggravates, I bet one would definitely regret his/her own actions for compromising their own eye health. If Merlyn is reading this post, yea, think through what I said. To look pretty without glasses is more important, or protecting your own eyes is more important. Haiz....

After dinner @ FC2, we walked to dover stn, Shirlyn, Merlyn and Evan decided to go and catch a movie called 'Butterfly Lovers' at Jurong Point @ 9.35pm, the only slot available today. I didn't join them for movies as I have atc final meeting today. I took a bus down to bukit merah mac for meeting. I am guilty for not turning up regularly for meetings due to my busy school work and Japanese Language Class.

Meeting ended at 9.30pm. I left and didn't loiter around mac and chit chat with other CIs because I was still upset by the misdiagnosis in contact lens fitting practical, I have got no mood and plus I am too tired and just want to rush home to rest. Today is the first time I had such long hours in school - 10am to 7pm with only 1 hour of break.

Okay, I am super tired as I said, I shall go to bed right now.

I had my hair-cut

My hair is like curling all over the place and it seems like a bad hair day everyday. Today, I got my hair cut somehow by the influence of my classmates who went to cut their hair one by one. I didn't cut much, maybe the fringe and those unkempt hair that curls all over the place.

Yes~! Deepavali is Holiday... but :( I got to meet sensei in the evening on that day to brush up my particles for Japanese. I sucks at particles, and I hasn't been working hard for Japanese I admit it myself from the bottom from my heart and I am guilty knowing that we hasn't much time left to JLPT 4 yet I am at the danger zone of failing JLPT 4 based on my results for doing past year papers of JLPT 4 so far. May God Bless Me Man~!

Birthday Present from Classmates~!

Well, it rained really heavy today in the morning when I went to school today. The first lesson was Ocular Pathology II from 8am to 10am and the next and last lesson is 5 hours later at 3pm to 5pm. I brought along my Japanese homework as there is 5 hours of break in between. When ocular pathology class ended, papaya told me to meet outside the lecture theater because she has something to tell me.

I was SURPRISED~! Haha because it is really so belated, my birthday was more than a month ago. Today I suddenly receive presents from them. Thanks papaya, orange and the ever-green Reena.

I have no idea why they bought me these items but I guess the reasons are...

This is a Minnie Mouse hand-held massager... I had a Minnie Mouse pencil box, maybe they feel it matches my Minnie Mouse and I deserve to massage myself after a hard day's work after school everyday.

Another handphone strap but a sotong this time round, maybe they think I am blur like sotong or because I am a 'Sotong Alliance Member' in IDEAS in Year 1 Sem 1....

After that we went to FC2 to eat breakfast. Since I had breakfast at home before I left for school, I had a cup of iced Milo while Evan and Reena got Hotcakes extra value meal (EVM), Merlyn got sausage muffin EVM and shirlyn got herself a big breakfast EVM. Following which, we browse around the the bazzar at FC 2. We spent some time there since shirlyn and merlyn wants to try on some apparels but ended up, only shirlyn bought an apparel put in a strawberry print plastic bag. PAPAYA WANTS TO CHANGE NAME TO STRAWBERRY BUT ORANGE AND APPLE DISALLOW. Therefore, she is still a papaya. :P

Reena left halfway to collect her pay for her part-time job during the holidays. So, left me, orange, papaya and Evan and we head off to Far East Plaza and Orange want her fringe trimmed.

When we reached there, Merlyn went back to the same hairdresser and told him about the problem she has with her fringe. Maybe, he's a professional hairdresser, even simple combing, he can do wonders and just by combing Merlyn's hair properly within seconds, Merlyn's problematic fringe suddenly went back to normal and problem is gone~! It is kind of -__-" because we travelled so far to look for a hairdresser and just to get the hair combed. Haha the problem is Merlyn dunno how to comb her hair. [Shirlyn, u asked me to post about this and I did alright~]

The hairdresser took a look at Merlyn's hair and we knew the answer as well, it lost its curl and the hair is dry, damaged and tangled. So he suggested Merlyn to re-do a perm. But it costs $120 haha seems like Merlyn can never afford it with so much debts owed. =P

After that we window shopped in Far East and we were running late and so we "flew" back to school and along the way, so coincidentally, we board the same train as my dar dar but different carriage. So we walked to our classroom venue together.

Woohoo... we walked really fast and we managed to reach the classroom venue on the dot and heng Mr Tham was late too. If not, dunno if he will flare up and scold us for being late. Though he always jokes around with us but he gives me a feeling of "xiao li chang dao" and so I dunno what he will do. Dun play around with him or we may get played around by him.

His lesson is ever so demanding and confusing, okay, but this time round it is not as bad as introduction to pathology that Mr Tham used to teach. At least I could understand what he says and teach now. He ends on the dot at 5pm and we walked out of the classroom with many question marks of how one can get a sectoranopia.

So tired today though today only had 2 lectures. It rained on my way home but today is still a bright day to me because I had fun today.

Grandma's Birthday

After celebrating singing and cutting the birthday cake for my mom's birthday, we got ourselves ready and set off to uncle's house to celebrate grandma's 87 yrs young birthday. Aunt called to tell us the the buffet delivery was at uncle's house already, so I tagged along my father's motorbike and VRROOOM~! There we go to uncle's house and father wrote them a cheque for the payment while the rest of the family would go and collect other food items and join us later. When I reached there... the first thing that caught my sight was the huge and gigantic carebears.... Kawaii~!!!

It's like my body size? It's damn nice to hug.... SO BIG~!!!

Mother's Birthday

On the 18th Oct, the actual day of my mother's birthday, we went out as a family to eat outside to celebrate mommy's birthday. We went to Chinatown to eat at a vegetarian stall. After dinner, we walked around the area as there were many travel agencies there and talked about going overseas for holidays.

After dinner, everyone had their own meetings and programmes on, leaving my brother, father and I at home. We're so full and plus my sisters came back rather late, we we left the birthday cake for mommy till next day morning and sang her a belated birthday song. (So sad, it's belated).

My mom loves mango, so this birthday cake is mango cake~!

New Timetable

OMG, timetable changed and I didn't know until I was in school today. The timetable was changed luckily the first lesson of the day is still the same and hence I didn't attend the wrong class.

Practical starts today, day 1 week 1 of school. Kiasu right? I think first day of school, many classes in SP won't start proper... but ours do~! Okay I understand, maybe the content is just too much and we cannot to afford to slack right from the start of the first day of school.

Today's prac is kind of fun and thrilling. Because I had never worn contact lenses before... only twice for soft contact lens fitting appointment under SPOC where the seniors helped me to put in and remove the lens from my eyes.

The experience with contact lenses under SPOC appointment were terrible, I teared profusely as my eyes are sensitive and I just feel so uncomfortable with contact lens on my eyes. It's like a foreign body in my eye and is irritating.

With the phobia of putting lenses in the eye, today, I have to mastered the skill of putting in and removing contact lens from my friend's eyes and how to put it in and remove it in our own eye. In class, all of us tried on each other and swopped partners having umpteen people putting in and removing contact lenses from each other's eyes and ended up with red teary eyes and after the practical, we're all suffering from the after-effects and our eyelids felt so heavy and feel falling asleep and yet still can feel the foreign-body sensation from the lens fitting.

During prac time, shirlyn suggested to buy a cake for huiqi to celebrate her birthday and Janice got car today, so Janice, Merlyn, Shirlyn and Reena went out of school to get birthday cake while I stayed in school to distract Huiqi so that she wun suspect a thing. We had fish soup together for lunch. So sad... today got no fried fish soup.... the stall ran out of fried fish today. =(

After lunch, we went to library to print the new timetable and slacked there and later when the cake was delivered back to school, we went down to FC 2 together and sang her a birthday song as a class... it was near time to go up for class, so we ate the cake in a unique manner for the first time.... just take forks from FC 2 and scoop and eat.

Taiwan Trip Day 3

Morning call at 7 in the morning and breakfast at 7.30am. The guide would pick us up at 8.30am. On the way when we go to our first destination for the day, we went pass the MRT station near our hotel for the the previous night. Even their MRT station looks so ancient.....

The first place that we are going to visit for the day is the Taiwan Famous 圆山大饭店. It has a long history of decades and it was initially built to host overseas delegates of the government worldwide. Only government officials from local and overseas are allowed to stay in there. However, over the years, it was opened for public to stay in now. The hotel still kept its original oriental taste. Look at the building... it looks very ancient right?

From the hotel, we can see the Taipei 101 Tower... It definitely has great view....

After the visit at the 圆山大饭店, there is still time so we head off to somewhere that the guide brought us there. I couldn't remember what is the name of the place there. But we go there to use the toilet plus enjoy the view there for about 30 mins to stretch ourselves after sitting in the bus for a long bus ride of about 1 hour plus.

Alright, that's enough and we got to board the bus and continue our journey to have our lunch followed by visiting of the Taiwan's Native Cultural Village to see the different Native groups culture and dance.

Later in the night, we went to the Taipei 101 Tower. Actually we can go the the highest floor of the Taipei 101 tower to see the spectacular night view of Taiwan. But since haha it is not included in our tour package and need to buy tickets to go up plus the price is kind of steep we decided to forgo it and just shop in the shopping tower itself. We did not buy anything, just a ink stamp for my sis since she wanted chinese ink stamp for teaching because it was hard to find chinese ink stamp in Singapore. One reason why we didn't buy anything because Taipei 101 shopping tower is like another Orchard. All branded shops and restraunts. Too high class for us to go in =D

Gems is a chore....

OMG, it is GEMs Registration once again. It is a necessity to pick a GEMs every semester and it is just so so so so irritating. The slots were really taken fast despite it is the first GEMs registration appointment.

I started to stand by 5 mins before 11am (my slot for GEMs registration). At 11am sharp, CHIONG AH~! I tried 'The Revealing Eye in Digital Photography' first, but it was full... so i quickly typed my next choice... 'Love Relations for Life- A Journey of Romance, Love and Sexuality' ... FULL AGAIN~! Here comes my 3rd choice that I had in mind 'Sun Zi's - The Art of War in Our Modern Day' the stated that module was not found, I thought I might have typed the module code or name wrongly and I re-tried 3 times.... gosh~! Slots are even fuller.... Luckily someone opted out of Love Relations and I quickly opt in.

Sad to say, it is Monday's class from 8-10am. WTH la that's not the slot I want because if i put it on Monday it would mean 8-10am GEMs, follow by 10am-2pm Contact Lens Fitting Practical.... I need to wait till 2pm for an hour break from 2pm-3pm and lesson again from 3pm-4pm.... Lesson from 8am-2pm is 6 hours straight of lessons... I'll go bonkas and haywire on Monday for sure.... So I decided to gamble off my luck on my 2nd appointment.

Finally time's up... ready for my 2nd battle... bloody SAS was so lag... I bet it's due to many others who are like me.... couldn't get a GEMs they wanted or they missed the first one... Guess what? I dropped my class to opt to Friday's Photography class.. it lagged and hanged there... in the end i dropped class sucessfully but nvr opt in sucessfully... I got no CLASS~!!!! ARGH~! Worst thing is the SAS actually crash and I couldn't re-login anymore to register my GEMs.

When I finally could, the slots were once again taken up. I am left with Friday's Learning to Learn 1 slot and it is one of my choices though not my top choice... I kept re-freshing the page... YES~! Photography... my top choice came... though it's wed.... JUST GRAB IT~! I got it ... YEA YEA YEA~!!!

Yes~! Though I wished it was a friday slot. I shall carry on betting on my luck to get into Friday Photography Class.....

Outing with GMX and Paulina

Ages since we last met up together and we decided to have a meet-up on 30th sep, Children's Day Eve. It was still early so I went to Tiong Bahru Plaza Popular to get myself an eraser and to renew my SakaeCard Membership. So conincidentally, I met GMX @ popular and we walked to the bus stop together to take 195 to Mount Faber Safra after paying up at the cashier for the things that we've bought.

After we reached there, we made our way to the bowling alley and Paulina, the organiser who planned the time and venue to meet was LATE~! So we went ahead to rent bowling shoes and get a lane to play.

We exchanged our presents and I played 1 round before Paulina arrived. And then a few more rounds after she had arrived. While waiting for our own turn, we shared lame jokes and Paulina has really a good sense of humor and I so much wanted to turn her into a bowling pin and take the bowling ball and strike at her.... her jokes are really "qian bian" okay~!

After that few rounds, we have decided to go habourfront for dinner. But before that, Paulina requested to take some photos at the Safra playground and below are the photos.

After the photo takings, we got really hungry and took a bus to habourfront and in the end we settled our dinner at KFC. It was really crowded and we couldn't get a seat until after 10 minutes or so. Paulina and I got ourselves a Zinger student meal with upsized drinks and GMX got a student meal Meltz. After dinner, we walked around vivo window-shopping. We went into Toy'R'us and immerse ourselves into the kiddy toys and plushies.

Yes~! I won the tortoise.... a twist of the story.... rabbit still wins...

After browsing around and taking snapshots at vivo's Toys'R'us we went to Giant as Paulina suggested that there are more plushies there and more poohs there.... Paulina and I love Pooh~! At Giant, this is what happened.....

Photos non-stop with plushies again and then we ended our last station at TS Video CD shop and GMX bought Money Not Enough 2 VCD for her parents and then we headed home respectively... I really enjoyed my day with them.... Thanks a lot to them..... I love and appreciate their presents too =)

Mount Faber Walk 2nd Oct 2008

Holidays had been kinda boring and I've got nothing better to do except to go out... but I dun really have much people to go out with.... yea so .... boyfriend is of coz the best partner to go out. Taking my mother's car or public transport, I have passed by the mount faber walk many a times but have yet to take a walk up there. So, the boring me and kb went to walk the mount faber walk.

First, when we started walking after 5 mins, we saw a monkey~! It's so so so close to us, just about an arm away, so I didn't dare to take out my camera to take a snapshot of it because I am worried that the monkey may be frightened by my camera and attack us.... haha...

The sun was really bright and scorching and it made me really perspire quite a bit... As we walked, we saw this quite beautiful place and it has quite a nice view and scenery, so .... PHOTOS TIME~!

After that we went to habourfront to eat KFC for dinner because I had discount coupons. Afterwhich, we went to shop around Vivo. I suddenly want to be a kid again... I miss toys... so we went to Toys'R'us. I saw these dogs figurine and thought back.... that was what that was very popular during my primary school years and my sister did collect many of these dogs figurine... but apprarently, these dog figurines are lost and missing from my house....

After that we went to Giant Hypermart. At my Taiwan trip I did not see any nice backpacks so I did not buy my dar dar a school bag as promised... so yea... to atone for what I promised, I bought him this bagpack that is not too expensive yet durable.... =D Sorry, I am a very "auntie" person, I went Giant Hypermart to buy him a bag and not some sports shop.

Finally, he chose this bag.

After that we went home together... I believe he is still happy this moment that he had finally got a new bag. =) I had been hoping to get a new school bag for very long already. Hope he really love this bag a lot....

Taiwan Trip Day 2

Morning call to our hotel room at 7.30am and breakfast at 8am. Our guide would pick us up at 9am. So we went down for breakfast at 8am, ended by 8.30am and spend the last half an hour to pack our luggage and check out of the hotel.

At 9am, we carry our luggage and put it at the boot of the van and there we board the van and head towards our first destination for the day- Peacock Farm.

At the peacock farm, there is a wide space or free area for the peacocks to move and run about....

Something special: This is the white peacock and I have never seen it in S'pore before... it's pure white.... Nice eh? Like snow white???

This is called the Golden Pheasant.

Personally, I think this Golden Pheasant deserves it's name more as it is more golden in colour... Chio desu ne?

This Blue Bird is called the Taiwan Blue Magpie....It's pretty unique I thought....

Okay, enough of peacocks and peacocks.... so our next destination is to the temple and visit 日月潭 and from there we can see really beautiful and picturesque view as shown in the pictures below....

This is the entrance of the "Wen Wu Miao" that we are going to go in... Our guide taught us the way to walk into the temple. I didn't know such practices until the guide taught us how to walk in. The guide told us that there is a "Dragon" door or entrance and "Tiger" door entrance. We should always go in from the Dragon side and not the Tiger Side. This is because they believed that those "dirty" things would follow us. If we walk in from the Dragon side, "they" are unable to follow us in and would stay outside of the temple and go away on its own knowing that they cannot stick to us. However, if we go in from the Tiger side, though they cannot enter the temple, but they can sense and know our presence and so, they will wait until we come out of the temple and follow us back home. Another reason for not entering the temple from the Tiger side is due to a famous saying as well "送羊入虎口". The Dragon Side is always on the right hand side and Tiger on the left hand side.

This is the Dragon's eldest son and this sculpture or statue has a story behind it. I couldn't remember what is that man's name but the story about that man was that he was born with 7 moles on his feet in chinese we called "脚踏七星" he was born to be an emperor but because of his family background, he always ends up with those gangster kind of friends and become very playful and creates a lot of trouble. One day, he dreamt of the Jade Emperor and the Jade Emperor told him in the dream that he was destined to be the Emperor of the country andthe Jade Emperor would send all his 9 sons down to help him to get the throne. Slowly, with the aid of the man's gangster friends and the dragon sons. He got his throne and the country was running very well and one day the 9 sons told him that it is time they have to head back to the heaven and report to their father who was the Jade Emperor. The man was worried that after the dragon sons left him, everything would not be smooth sailing for him as the dragon sons helped him a lot. So he told the eldest dragon son that if he is able to walk with the tombstone on his back, he will let him and his other 8 brothers go back to the heaven. Little did the eldest son know that the tombstone carved with words from the emperor was so heavy that he was unable to move and so he stayed at the position of where this statue is right now. The other 8 brothers saw the plight of the eldest son and thought that it was meaningless to go back without their brother. So, the rest of the 8 siblings stayed and can be found all over this temple at different corners.

I didn't take the pictures of them because I fell that it was rude to take photos in the temple. So, only took a few pictures... apologies.

This is the roof of the temple and these are the dragon sons lined up in a row.

This lion like statue is called a "qi lin" and it is a male. It is seen as something auspicious. It has a lion head, horse body, "qi lin" horn. In this statue, it is holding a big ball. Which means "有求必应" because the word ball in chinese has the same pronunciation as wish or hope. So it means whatever you wish or hope, you pray in this temple, it will come true.

After visiting the temple, we went to the restaurant nearby for lunch.

This is the a picture of the whole 日月潭 and how it got its name is because of the land formed a shape of a '日' and '月' character. I took this picture because the actual view was so big and huge that couldn't be captured by my camera... the actual view was the picturesque view photos I took and posted after the peacock farm photos.

While waiting for lunch to be ready, the guide helped us to take a family photo of with the beautiful scenery behind us.

After lunch, we head to the night market for shopping. Along the way, we drove pass this building shown below.... Our guide told us to guess what building is this. This building looks kind of colourful and beautiful. So we guessed TV station, some art exhibition hall or museum but we're all wrong. It is a restaurant that rotates.... like the one we have in Singapore near Telok Blangah and Habourfront area.

This is their train which is = Singapore's MRT. Since night time is free and easy for today, the guide told us if we want to come back again at night we can do so by taking a train back to the night market from our hotel area. Since our accomodation tonight is within walking distance from the train station.

There at the night market, though we went there at like 5pm to beat the queues, there are already tons and tons of people. There, we tried 螺阿棉线, 螺阿煎, 鳗鱼饭，炒花枝，洛神花汁，苦瓜汁，臭豆腐，官财板 etc.

We saw some cheap socks so we bought some as well. Time's up and ready to go back to the hotel. Tonight's accomodation has hot spring and we were told that we can choose to enjoy hot spring in the hotel room itself or the public one at the basment of the hotel. If we want to enjoy it, we can just open the tap and the hot running water is actually spring water and we can just submerge into the hot water in our bathtub, but we have to leave the toilet door open for ventilation and not to soak in the water for too long or else, we'll faint.... :)

Another alternaive is to go to the public one, but we have to go in the water naked. OMG la~! so pai seh lol... though yea all are of the same gender..... So we went downstairs to see how the public one is like before deciding on whether we want to enjoy hot spring in the toilet or the public one. There was no one..... yea so means only our own family members and of coz since it's naked its separate hot tub for different genders in different rooms.... so we have decided to go for the public one.

Though it was only my mother and I, I started off a little pai seh and ah~! 43 degree celcius.... was so hot.... only my feet managed to go into the water after 10 minutes..... and then slowly my calves, knees and the whole leg.... and slowly the whole body..... woo.... piping hot... it's shiok.... really..... After like soaking inside for 10-15 minutes we came out of the water and bathed there using their shower facilities and wear back our clothes and wait at the lobby area for my brother and father and went up for a good night's rest in the hotel room....

Okay I finally have time to update on my blog about my Taiwan Trip. As it is taking ages to upload the photos, I shall start with Day 1 of my Trip for now....

Taiwan Day 1

We are taking the 12.30pm aeroplane and we reached the airport at 10.30am at Changi Airport Terminal 3. Uncle drove my father, mother, brother and myself there. Oops~! 5 pax in the car, full load. Therefore my 2nd sister took a MRT to Changi Airport to send us off.

After Checking in our baggage, there were shops inside for us to shop while waiting for the time to arrive for boarding. There, I saw this thing showed in the picture below. It's a Gadget Charger and most importantly, it's FOC~! It's kinda cool, so I took a photo of it. It has 14 slots with different chargers. For example slot 1 is for Nokia, slot 2 is for Sony Ericsson phone, slot 3 is for Sony camera and so on. It has a key allocated to every slot, so its user can just leave their electronic gadget inside to charge and lock it with the key provided and come and claim it back once they're done with shopping and once the charging is full. Cool isn't it?

Next, we went to explore the butterfly park which we heard on the tv before. It is a new attraction built in the Changi Airport and so, we went around hunting for it and WE FOUND IT~!!!

In the butterfly park there is this nice man-made waterfall

Oops, saw my reflection in the mirror. But that's besides the point, all these things hanging there are actually the lavae and pupae of the butterflies. They are kept in there until they are mature and you can actually see them transform.... O.O <-- Look at my big eyes. It's sure eye-opening for me to see these lavae and pupae becoz I have not seen before only in primary school science textbook when we are learning life cycle of a insect....A close up photo of the lavae and pupae of the butterflies.

Seems like the butterflies love red flowers a lot...

It's almost time and so we made our way to the departure hall and finally board the plane... woo~! Window seat.... I promised my bf to take pictures of the aeroplane flying up in the sky and it's view from the top in the aeroplane. So yea, I told my family I want to sit next to the window to take pictures. =)

Mommy's food... the red drink is alcohol... i took a few sips though I'm below 18 at that point of time... Shh... It's known as 'Singapore Sling' a Made in Singapore Cocktail.

I'm listening to music killing time....

Upon arrival to Taiwan, we were picked up by our tour guide and board the mini bus on our way to visit the night Market. There, my brother bought a pair of Puma Shoes (real one) not imitation. We also went to try Road Side Stalls Food such as 大肠包小肠(There is original, black pepper, tom yam, spicy flavour but we tried black pepper and original flavour) it's yummy... , 爱玉冰，署条with梅子粉 etc. After shopping at the night market, we board the bus and we're on on way to our hotel for a good night's rest...

This is a fire station in Taiwan, I saw it on the bus ride on the way to our hotel.

Finally reached our hotel room... below are photos of how my hotel room looks like for the first night...

We were told that next to our hotel is a shopping centre and the Carrefour there is open 24 hours. So, we went there to buy some mineral water, soft drinks and snacks to munch and drink on the long bus ride tomorrow....
After shopping we're so hungry so went to grab a bite the the MacDonald's there and went back to the hotel to sleep. We went back to the hotel at like about 12.30am.

Mooncake Festival

This holiday is really busy having Japanese Class thrice a week. I had missed out a lot for my Japanese Class due to flying to Taiwan for holidays. Therefore, I had to meet sensei for extra lesson which falls on the day of mooncake festival. After the extra lesson, I went to dar dar's house becoz he said he wanna celebrate Mooncake Festival with me...

I really owed sensei too much homework so while he get entertained with his laptop online games, I sat next to him mugging Japanese until I was so tired and couldn't help but asked if I could borrow his bed to take a nap and wake me up 10 minutes later....

My 10 minutes became an hour.... OMG it shows how tired I am and how reluctant I was to get off the bed. Once I woke up, his mother offered me chicken wings... she reserved it for me coz she knows the moment she turns around, all her sons would steal it and eat it silently without her knowing and she would just see a plate of chicken wing bones there. Haha it was very thoughtful of her mother and very funny of kb's family. They're like "hungry ghost"? After chicken wings, kb and I went downstairs to get free lantern and walk down the path of the park.

When we reached downstairs to get our free lantern the community centre (CC) volunteers said the free lanterns were meant for kids. At that moment I felt embarrassed and wanted to hide myself in a hole. It was such an awkward scene. But kb insisted that he wanted a lantern and begged for the lantern like a kid begging a parent to buy him a toy. The volunteer gave in and passed him a bag with the lantern and free mooncake and waffer inside. Kb wanted to get one for me as well but the volunteer said that the fact that he gave us one was kind enough already. So I said it's okay, we'll share just 1 lantern then. I could see kb's sad face.

Next, there was no matchsticks nor lighter provided so haha he went to "borrow" fire from a kid's lantern. Holding that lantern, we took a stroll in the park. It is kind of a sweet thing to do sharing 1 lantern holding hands walking through the park. We u-turned back and a group of people offered to take a photo for us for free. They are the CC's volunteers, they help to take photos for people for free and would post the developed photos to the person's letter box. After much hesitation, we took a photo there and haha I am still waiting for the developed photos.

Nearby there were performances by the RC's people. It's getting a little bored there so we decided to haha go home because my mother called to ask me home early... So yea we walked back and took the lift with the lighted candle-lit lantern until we went in. Haha kb's papa saw kb holding the lantern and laughed saying "哎哟，你还小啊？" I couldn't help but burst into laughter becoz I sabotaged him, I forced him to hold it as we approach his house doorstep becoz I dun want to be laughed at. Oops... haha and his dad continued on to say "拿也是应该是彩萍拿嘛。她看起来比较小。" :( I got rather sad becoz I look like a small kid. Many people said I dun look like I am 18 but 14 or 15 years old. So I replied in chinese "yea but haha I am not that small either, I am just 2 years younger than kb ah.....".

So I went to get my bag and drank up the Milo kb's papa made for me and soon left for home. Dar dar acted like a kid again... he insisted that he want to bring that lantern along with lighted candle inside and he brought along 2 spare candles in case the candle burn out before my bus came. Haha I gave in to this "2 year old" minded 20 years old boyfriend of mine and off we go and walk together to the bus stop. Walking to the bus stop, we have to pass by or walk through a shopping mall. I purpose scare him and insisted to walk inside the mall and use me feeling very warm and I want air-con as an excuse. Haha and I went to scare him and said that the latnern has lighted candle... later the mall's fire detector sense it will sprinkle water on him. He's so frightened and look up at the ceiling and avoid every water sprinkler possible and quickly made his way out to the mall. I was laughing and smiling at his hilarious action and he sort of got angry with me for making a joke out of him.

I apologised to him of cause and told him that haha the water sprinkler is not so sensitive and furthermore, the candle did not produce any smoke to trigger any detection either. No worries at all. As the bus stop is filled with more and more people, it's getting embarrasing so we blew off the candle and keep the lantnern. My bus came and I board the bus and headed home. I bathed and then went online till morning 2+ am as usual and haha woke up the next day at 2pm? haha 12 hours of sleep was satisfying really....

I am suppose to post about my taiwan trip actually but I have decided to post about Mooncake Festival instead because this post has lesser pictures to upload. Taiwan Trip pictures are taking ages to upload. Apologies... Do continue to wait for my next update.... Good Night...He's smiling like a happy kid with his lantern....

Night Viewing with Dar Dar after S'pore Flyer

Continuing from my last post... after the Singapore Flyer we went to take a walk around the esplanade area and started snapping photos after photos of the beautiful night scene, lights and view around that area....

Having him by my side is a blessing....

I want to stay in this hotel.... it's so nice~! I bet from the hotel room, can see the beautiful night view of Singapore right at esplanade....
