Hmm this is the first time i started working. Thank god, i am working @ a place where nobody knows haha if not everyone would be like " eh, isn't this choy peng, orh... she is working here ah?" then the whole qtss would come and see me... -__-". The pay is very very little and the job is a lot a lot... this is how harsh life is. For that pay of $4/hr i have to be the cleaner, cum waitress cum retailer. The pay of 1 person but the job of 3 person.
At there i have made friends. They are very nice people and funny. Haha, when the boss is not in we'll secretly talk bad behind their back about how they scold us for trival minor things and about how budget the shop is and how stingy they are on our pay especially. I have worked for 2 days wah kana scolded liaoz... I was busy in the kitchen washing dishes and never see a customer and the customer sees no one is there to serve him, he decided to leave. But i saw him leaving so i quickly ran out... the boss was here~! He served the customer and he scolded me for not keeping an eye @ the counter... Come on la... wah... i am in the kitchen, he expect me to see what was outside meh? What can i do? Let him scold lol... this is job~!
Another incident was @ the pastry counter, i served the lady but, it's my first time @ the pastry counter... i am of coz inexperienced... and he didn't even bother to teach me lol is i see how my other colleagues who worked here for quite some time how they do it, i just follow. I did it correctly but was slow.. boss scolded me again... saying that i was too slow and i got to be fast coz customers may be rushing for time... haizz... working is not easy....
These 2 days i have to do closing... Closing is tedious man... i have to stack up all the tables and chairs outside the shop and chain it up, wipe clean all the tables, pastry counter, sandwich counter, drinks counter, wash the dishes and utensils, sweep the floor, mop the floor, throw the thrash, top up stocks, clean all the toasters and microwaves and do all the "sai gang" (sai work). Luckily, my colleague is there to help me before she leave for home, she shares my burden, leaving less for me to do, if not, by the time i finish all these job scope, it'll be like 11pm... :(
Today is my off day and i requested not to work on every friday so that i can help out my cca. They agreed... Haha yea and while doing closing on wednesday, the lady boss chatted with me while she make the muffins, she is also from NPCC haha... what a coincidence sia~!
