Practical ended early and so I had lunch with all those people who are selling textbook today while waiting for my retinoscope spare bulb to come and my Japanese file to finish zapping from the photocopy auntie.

I am glad that I didn't buy any textbook in year 1... kinda smart la... since in the whole year 1, the only textbook that we really used was Human Anatomy and Physiology and I managed to share it with Merlyn. I wasn't cheated by those seniors in the past.... and now haha the viscious cycle continued, our batch people sold the textbooks to the year 1s claiming that... all the books do come into use...

People groaned as there are people who spoilt the market by selling books at only $10 each... that's like amazing la... they sell it at such great lost.... the juniors of cause benefit from it. I can't imagine, let's say the next batch come in, the 40+ dollars textbook is sold @ 5 bucks... -__-"

Haiz... we once again quarreled for no apparent reason. Maybe both of us are just too stress and I thought we would be alright again. =) But yea, and no. We are alright, but the next moment a big quarrel happened again. I mean these kind of squabbles are definitely normal as there are bound to be frictions. But this friction is killing me... a little would pull 2 person together, but it is too much right now.. and it drifts us apart.

I used to get really upset when we quarrel... but now... i dun give a damn... probably immune to it... i dunno... my heart and mind is in a whirl... in a swirl... in a i dunno what else...

Maybe there isn't such thing called ever-lasting and forever in my dictionary....

I shall not think too much and go into a state of depression... i shall carry on to do my work... that's all for now..

I am so so so so pissed off by the way they distribute the opthalmoscope and retinoscope today. As I have predicted, they made all 5 classes collect it @ 3pm. So the queue is damn long... AND WE ARE THE LAST CLASS~!! We waited like 2 hours to get our retinoscope and opthalmoscope~! Waste our time sia~!

They should have made arrangment like time slots for us to take class by class... it's like "Hello... ppl who got no gems got to wait for 5 hours till 3pm lol~!" Still make us wait somemore... brrr~!

Another thing is, they shd have packed in bags already class by class so that we can distribute faster and check on the spot if there are missing stuff based on a checklist or something... but NO... they made us ownself pack it... brr~! Waste our time, no service at all lol... brr~!

Because of that I am late for Unit Promo and by the time I go home to take my full U it would be too late, so yea I went down in home clothes. After that went to tiong bahru long john to eat and mark the papers. =D Talked thousands and millions of things in poly life haha becoz haha there are 2 year 1s who are freshies in poly and haha lots of interesting stories to share among ourselves.

Tomorrow is practical day~! Practical the whole day.... and Japanese Class @ 7pm.... Think I gonna go home first then go for lessons... Talking about Japanese Class.. ahh.... I haven't finish my Japanese Homework~! I gotta go and do already... bye~!

Woo... school started~! My first lesson for the day is Psychology and Counselling.

I woke up early and gave kb a morning call as he starts lesson at 8am too. Board a train and alight at queenstown station to wait for the ever-late kb to go to sch together. So in the end we didn't have MacDonald's Breakfast =(

When we alight @ dover wow.... the natural phenomenon of a new academic year.... FULL OF CROWDS AND ALL ARE YEAR ONES~!!! Haha which made me nearly unable to locate Merlyn haha...

The same old Merlyn as per normal... ever-sotong and blur who overslept and came to sch nearly late and i listened to her story of being late in the morning while making our way to T1A for GEMS.

But the ever-sotong Merlyn told me it is T1A52 and told me it seems like the weird corner that is not accessible from the concourse lift and we've got to take the lift from SMA. And argh~! We are suppose to be on time and in the end late because we took the wrong lift and we are suppose to take the concourse lift...

Alright I look downstairs and remembered that oh yea there is one storey that we can cross opposite without going to the 1st floor and walk to concourse to take the lift up again... and I think i got the "sotong" disease as well and i led the way down to 3rd floor and found out we went to the wrong floor again~!!! It's suppose to be 4th floor~!!!

Oh gosh we seemed more like year 1s than year 2s being lost in SP and forget all our orientation. Lesson starts and :D from now on GEMS will start at 8.30am instead of 8am as my lecturer dun need such a long time for lesson unless there is like presentation/quiz etc.

My first lesson of the day ended @ 9am and there I go with Merlyn to Mac to eat our breakfast while waiting for time to past to go for our practical @ 10am. When we were eating, we saw Dr. Zhu Ming Xia... wow~ she permed her hair haha.. i do start to miss her... her funny accent especially though... and there came windi who came in Mario t-shirt that seems so "tight-fit" and HuiQi, Reena, Kellyn etc and there we go off to T112 for Clinical Optometry 1 practical...

When I go in I was like wow... haha "we're on the TV~!" and I didn't expect practical to start as it was the first day... but it started. Haha most people were late la... and whoever walks in was screened on the tv... all of us collect our practical manual and notes from our respective class reps and move to a seat and settle down and the last person to reach was Matthew.

Haha and he found out he got nowhere to sit as the place is kinda small and was not enough to accomodate 2 classes. Haha this teaches us a lesson - want a good seat and do have a seat, make sure u are early....

Mrs Tan explained to us the procedures of Practical 1 and it was really interesting . After going through the procedures we became each other's subject and we are to take reading and suddenly it seems like we are really in clinic like that... doing something which is more related to our career and course compared to the year 1 modules. Haha it's FUN~!!!

We ended @ ard 12+pm and we are to continue our prac on coming thursday. After we ended, Merlyn, Windi and I took a walk to SAA to collect our NYAA booklet (Windi and I)and then to SEC clubhouse to wait for windi to settle some SEC stuff. Windi took like damn long... so Merlyn and I left our bag in the room and left to settle the Japanese Class Payment thing and argh... we walk till so dead tired and thirsty and hungry... MERLYN MADE ME WALK TO AND FRO~!!! I felt as though I did lost weight...

First trip was from SAA to Admin Office (to check where to get the invoice for the cheque payment)
2nd Trip was from Admin Office to SAA (becoz it is the office's lunch break)
3rd Trip was from SAA back to Admin Office ( Coz aloysious say there is a box there or there is somewhere else that can access into the office and we went back to check)
4th Trip was from Admin Office back to SAA again (becoz the box is for cheque payment and the office is still closed~! Miscommunication... Aloysious thought we wanna make payment while what we want is to get the invoice)
5th Trip was from SAA to Business School but halfway we turned back becoz Merlyn forgot her wallet and pen -.-
6th Trip from SAA to Business School all da way (office closed... also same opening hrs and lunch hr... -__-" i wanna faint... heng it is like abt 5 min more to open again if not dun tell me got to walk back again~!!!)
7th Trip was from School of Business back to SAA and I thought whoa... at last...but Merlyn tell me she not sure whether the person wrote correct class or not, so we turned back and walk back to business sch to check)
8th Trip was from business school back to SAA all da way at last... and finally lunch @ FC 3

Finally... home @ last... met kb and he happened to end lesson too and so we went home together... that's how my first day in school was spent... crappy... fun and tiring becoz of Merlyn's "sotong" disease....

Gonna start school on Monday. Well, one thing that I am happy is that when I look back at how I have spent my holidays, I did not waste a day away. I was always busy with unit, area, working as a part-time, going for Japanese Class and spending time together with kb. I am rather proud of myself to be able to juggle with so much things at a time, though yea I do get sick and tired and kinda stressed up though it is HOLIDAY~!

Today, I went back to the unit. It was the last day for the NCOs and they stepped down down today. Though it is the last day, i still reprimanded them for all those crap. Excuses after excuses, I simply heard enough. I thought for very long what to say and just felt like not saying a thing because I know they wouldn't care for today is the last day, they can't wait to leave.

I decided to leave the unit for a year. It's time to study hard. One thing is for this whole semester, it clashed with unit training. Secondly, for the 2nd semester I will be away for attachment, so this is equivelant to 1 yr. No, perhaps 1.5 years because attachment stretches till 3rd year 1st Sem according to SP website.

Time do fly, and do fly really fast, I am 1 yr old as a CI, served NP for 5 years... that's half a decade. I wanted to leave, and really dun wish to go back to unit. Perhaps, i lack of the motivation to carry on, the energy to overcome everything and the stress. I can persevere no longer.

I received appreciation letters today. I told kb abt it. He told me I would be back to unit after reading it because simply i wun bear to leave. Yea, indeed. I can't bear to deep inside. I filed the letters inside my file. I started looking through the file. Other than all the certs I got from going for courses and participating in competitions and awards I've got, I saw papers wrote with motivating words since I was a student, since I was a cadet. What was written on my paper at the end of sec 1 prefect camp, sec 2, sec 3 prefect camp, appreciation letter from teachers for the past years. It rekindles memories both happy and sad. Many things suddenly just went through my head...

Think, today, I got a little too emo... haha maybe because I know I wun be back to unit again other than unit promo... =D

Hmm... time to sleep and rest well since tomorrow I would have a long long long day.... Good Night~! Oyasumi Nasai~!

DRESS CODE

SICK DAYS

We will no longer accept a doctor's certificate as proof of sickness. If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

HOLIDAY DAYS

Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year. They are called Saturday and Sunday.

COMPASSIONATE LEAVE

This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend to the arrangements. In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour early.

TOILET USE

1. Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now a strict three-minute time limit in the cubicles.
2. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the cubicle door will open, and your picture will be taken.
3. After your second offence, your picture will be posted on the company notice board under the 'Chronic Offenders' category.
4. Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sanctioned under the company's mental health policy.

SMOKING BREAKS

1. Smoke breaks are taken at your own risk and time.
2. Smoking KILLS and your company cannot be held responsible while smoking in company time.
3. When ever a smoke break is taken this is classed as unpaid time or leave as the company can and will not be part of the cause of your death or associated with it in any way .

LUNCH BREAKS

1. Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch, as they need to eat more so that they can look healthy.
2. Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure.
3. Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast.

Just changed new blogskin for my blog once again... though yea this is not my ideal one.... haha... Whoa time really flies and my holiday is about to end and a new academic starts... Can't help it but feel happy that school is gonna start and we can spend time as a class together again, but worried came together, with feelings that it's gonna be a headache year. Mixed feelings...

I Love this semester's timetable more than last semester's definitely. It looked slacker... haha less compact together except friday's lesson. Hmm let me wish that this academic year is a fun one.. since it is very much related to the eyes right now compared to year one modules... :D

Well, I'm gonna sleep liao~! Enjoy my rest before school kick starts again~!

I wun be going back to unit once school reopens. Maybe it is something for the officers and cadets to rejoice, or maybe, to them it is a sad thing, I do not know. Reason why I am not gonna be back is because my lessons end at 5pm every friday which would not allow me to be down for unit training. I am sure year 2 has a lot of vision screening things for the public that we would need to go for to practise out clinical skills I suppose. That is for the first semester of year 2 academic year. Second semester, I would be on attachment already. Yeap, so I wun be back to unit. You know, the moment I told the sec 2s I wun be back... I felt a weight lifted off my back... More relaxed and happier the moment I knew I am leaving... though I know somewhere in my heart, NP would still remain there.
