Poly has finally started and today is already my 4th day of school. Well, i am actually happy with i am now and i definitely have great classmates who are friendly and by the 3rd day, i actually know my whole class' name and made a few great friends in class.
When i thought Poly is a less stressful route to take compared to a JC, i am WRONG~! We are treated as though we are young adults and we have to really take a lot of our own initiative to ask questions during lectures and tutorials if not, then GOOD LUCK~!
Teachers in here are very funny and friendly, but poor mdm zhu was always made fun by students from yr 1 DOPT. I mean.... really funny.... the thought of it makes me wanna laugh. The very first lesson under her was about the basics of light. Before the lecture actually started, she made a self-introduction about herself. She said "you can call me ming xia (which is her name) or ming or you can also call me xia".
Sitting behind me were students from her form class, DOPT/1A/02 and 03 students. One of them said "can i call you zhu?" and all those people around the guy who said that burst into laughter uncontrollably.
This madam zhu is quite a blur teacher to me. I mean, the lecture is combined lecture with all yr 1 DOPT students in the theatre, a total strength of 100+ students and she calls our name one by one to take attendance. It's like... how long is she going to waste just on attendance taking? Can't she just pass the attendance sheet around or for the class chairman to mark? Diaoz -__-". She is from China most probably as she speaks with a china accent and she speaks funny english. She studied in Australia for her degree or something like that and can u imagine someone who speaks english with a mixture of australian and chinese accent? DISASTER~! No one actually understands what she says! Dead :X
However, maybe i am getting used to her "powderful england" and i begin to understand what she is saying during the 2nd lecture. (Gd news isn't it?)
Another funny lecturer was Salome Ang. Even her name sound so funny yet chim, sound like some kind of salmon or fish to me and she is my human biochemistry module lecturer. I mean most of us do not have any knowledge about biology since most of us dun take bio in sec sch except that handful of like 5 out of the 41 of us in class 1 and 2 and she is just going just too fast and we catch nuts about her lessons. Luckily this is a small module and is only in course assessment, not in our semestral exam. Phew~! -__-"
Our personal tutor(form teacher) is call ms lek jia jia and she probably is the daughter of JJ liang teh. =p She is a nice teacher, humourous, rather nice looking and most importantly, she speaks good english that we understand =D and we understand her lecture thought it is the chim chim chim bio that most of us nvr studied before.
There are many more lecturers which i never mentioned or has not met them yet but i am sure these lecturers are definitely fun to be with, so does the friends and classmates i know in this school that i am in.
Poly Rocks~!
